The sacred bundles, in their great diversity, share certain generic aspects, however, they also present notable variants among which have been identified characteristics exclusive to the different ethnic groups populating this cultural super-area (The Mixtecs occupy an area that constitutes a geographical region of more than 40,000 square kilometers (189 municipios) in northwestern Oaxaca, Mexico). Guillaume J.A. Bresso proposes a synthesis of the characteristics of the sacred bundles inherent to each cultural reality and schematized by usual symbols to which we recognize a conventional meaning.
